The Story Behind Middlewood

Middlewood Investment Ltd. (MIL) was established in 2001. It is a dual-disciplinary consultancy specialising in property/real estate valuations and construction cost esitmating services. Our founder A. Michael Wood - Assoc RICS, BSc (Hons), HND (Bldg) - is a qualified Quantity Surveyor and full member of Barbados Association of Quantity surveyors, a BEAVE Registered Valuer (Professional status) and a full member of Barbados Association of Professional Valuers.
The re-branding of Middlewood Investment Ltd (MIL) and its new association with MW Building Surveyors enhances and expands the services offered, particularly the inspection of building works, to ensure and cerify its compliance with, "The Code of Practice for the Construction of Houses" .

The Man Behind The Engine

MR. WOOD
A. Michael Wood is an all-round Construction and Real Estate professional with specialist knowledge, interest and skills in the Residential Sector. Prior to going in to self-employment; he worked with the Barbados National Standards Institution dealing with matters pertaining to Engineering and Building Components especially relevant to the National Building Code. Subsequent to that, he spent another three- and- a- half- year on contract with the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality (CROSQ); as the Project Coordinator for the first phase of the Regional Building Standard Project. In addition to his knowledge of Codes and Standards; he has also developed a keen interest in the measurement, pricing and co-ordination of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services. This has subsequently enhanced his capabilities in appraising their worth (including the newer - water and power - energy saving systems) when preparing property/ real estate valuations/ appraisals.
